Hood Canal Resort in Union, WA features two separate beachfront vacation rentals located on the most desirable stretch of Hood Canal called the 'Gold Coast.' This area is known for spectacular sunsets, Olympic mountain views, rainbows and abundant wildlife. It's also home to Alderbrook Resort, restaurants, hiking trails, a golf course, Bill Gates and the Nordstroms.

Both vacation homes are on the beach and display breathtaking views of the Hood Canal fjord and Olympic Mountains. The homes are spacious, comfortable and resort-like with their own private hot tub, gas BBQ, indoor gas fireplace, outdoor firepit, A/C, fully stocked kitchen, and private outdoor area. The larger vacation home, Walls of Glass, also has an infrared sauna. Each property has complimentary use of the dock, paddle boards, kayaks and life vests for infants, children and adults.

In the summer you have the warm water of Hood Canal that invite for cooling swims and paddling, sunbathing on the comfortable sun chairs, sunset BBQ's, and various other activities the area has to offer.

There is no other area on Hood Canal that offers these views, amenities and close proximity to Alderbrook Resort & Golf Course, local pubs and various tourist spots. You are literally on the beach with the water within a few feet of the windows.

- If coming from downtown Seattle, consider enjoying a relaxing 60 minute ferry ride to Bremerton, followed by a 35 minute easy drive. Seattle/Bremerton ferry times
- If coming from the airport (Seattle-Tacoma International Airport). The estimated travel time is 1.5 hours, but high traffic could add another 25 minutes or so.
- If coming from the south (Portland, Centralia etc.) you will drive straight up along I-5 and US-101.

Group trip gold
All I can say is wow. We travel often with a big group of friends and have had every kind of experience with vacation rentals. This was far and away one of the absolute best. Great amenities, very comfortable beds, thoughtful touches every where, plenty of towels and blankets, a stocked kitchen, super clean, super quiet and excuse me, but those views are truly epic. Watching the seals play and fish jump while taking a post sauna dip was a delight. The sunsets are unrivaled. I could go on and on. It’s clearly so well managed and the hosts were so accommodating and responsive. We’re already scheming a return trip.
Magical
We returned this year to Hood Canal Resort for our fifth visit - we have stayed in both houses and love them equally. Highlights included kayaking with harbor porpoises, seal and otter sightings, watching gulls crack open oysters and eat sea stars, and of course the unbeatable views. Stunning as ever!
